A resolution: Instead of being released, Aaron Jones will be staying in Green Bay this season after the Packers and his agents, Drew Rosenaus and Ryan Matha, reached agreement on an $11 million salary for the 2023 season that includes an $8.52 million signing bonus.
Aaron Jones still will have two years remaining on his contract with the Packers, but this year has been adjusted. Including this season, Jones now will have made $31 million since 2021, the most for any running back other than Christian McCaffrey.
@AdamSchefter There’s only one Aaron we are waiting on.
@AdamSchefter Huge! God is good!! Go pack go!!
@AdamSchefter @Bengals this is what you need to do for #28. Take that extra $8mil in cap space and go get me a real LT.
@AdamSchefter 1st step in crippling your franchise is paying a RB top money. Good luck with that it’s not the 90’s anymore.
@AdamSchefter Smart move by both sides IMO. Got this deal done early and is below franchise tag price. Probably hurts a few players price ranges too? • Saquon Barkley? • Josh Jacobs? • Miles Sanders?
