Years ago, The Narrow Bank tried to do a business model of just taking deposits and holding 100% of them in reserves at the Fed. It would basically be the safest possible bank if allowed to exist, but they have not been granted a Fed account. They even went to court over it.

whew lad, lots to digest in the SEC lawsuit vs Do Kwon and Terraform Labs right off the bat, a very interesting fact is that the SEC is being more thorough than usual--specifically running through the Howey test for various assets (UST, LUNA, and wLUNA) and also alleging that mAssets are securities-based swaps (which will be no surprise to people who have followed me for a while--have warned repeatedly about synths potentially being swaps) will post more notes here as I read through the complaint

@GordonJohnson19 @DiMartinoBooth It means that the aggregate bank capacity to underwrite risk in the markets is falling, and will continue to fall for YEARS. While bank lending is no longer the only channel, it remains pivotal (sorry) to the markets ability to loan money.
