Onions are now thriving in Wajir. Northern Frontier District can get a new lease of life as the new breadbasket of Kenya. Farmers should be supported with improved seeds, blended fertilizers, extension systems and irrigation infrastructure.
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said This is great news, the strength of farmers in the frontier district is one that should always be lauded. Congratulations on the excpetional work, making agriculture in Kenya better kulmi.digital
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Quick one Abdi - areas around Wagalla look quite promising as water for irrigation even by borehole is possible - such as for water melon etc… any idea of how much an acre of farmland would cost around Wagalla, Wajir?
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Bana saa hii kitunguu inashindana na apple bei 🤦🏾♂️ Ikomae already 😂😂😂
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said @HEAhmedJiir kazi safi bro
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said NEP can feed entire east Africa with food. Best mangoes, best lemons, camels, goats , kienyeji vegetables along Tana River. Pishori rice from Mbalambala NYS , water melons , bananas, milk. The list is endless. County governments from NEP you are letting us down.
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Refreshing to note the agronome in you emerging seamlessly 👍🏽👌🏾
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Permaculture integrated with efficient irrigation will work wonders. This is 9 months since I started this project.
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Excellent, but I hope we aren't intending to replace pastoralism with farming.
@AbdiZeila @Meimuna_Said Pretty sure all counties are equifiably resourced with agricultural extension services, but those officers are like a needle in a haystack. They never avail themselves. Hawa watu ofisi zao ziko wapi?
