I see it similar to how NES games had retarded hit boxes, like Mega Man games. Part of the game was figuring out how to do invisible hit box platforming. I get that it wasn't intended that way but its just a unique challenge I don't fully see as a fault because it's also a challenge.

@kojimaicmatters One thing I argue with my brother about a lot over games is he hates tank controls. But to me it's just another part of the game and it just changes the formula on what's hard and difficult in the game a bit.

Dino Crisis 3 is the only game i have played where I would say the static camera system is objectively garbage. The forward and back controls would occasionally change based on camera and I had one door i was almost stuck on moving towards for almost 10 minutes because of the dumb camera and controls randomization.

I think its somewhat understandable considering the zeitgeist at the time. Common thinking is that the new "innovations" would make everything better. A lot of people eventually ended up changing their minds. I think its plausible he might have if he knew what things are like today.

@kojimaicmatters I hated cornbread most my life. But last 10 years or so I had had really good cornbread that I still kinda look forward to eating. But I wouldn't go out of my way for it.
