We had a lightning strike 9 miles from our park at 10:15am. Per safety protocol, we temporarily evacuated the fields and suspended games. All 10:30 and 11am games are cancelled. We will resume games at 11:45 as scheduled.

All games in Area 10V this weekend are cancelled. That means 16U teams will not play tomorrow. We do still anticipate having individual makeup pictures tomorrow from noon until 1pm, but have been unable to reach the photographer to confirm. We will give notice if that changes.

All games in Region 58 this weekend are cancelled. Air quality is presently at very unsafe levels and current predictions are that it will remain unsafe tomorrow. Volunteers who signed up to ref games will still get ref points for the games they are currently signed up for.

We continue to monitor the Saddleridge fire. At present, air quality in our region has reached unsafe levels. All practices scheduled for today are cancelled. We will wait until later this afternoon to make a decision about tomorrow's games.

Region 58 had quite a weekend at Area League Playoffs. We had a team in the top four in every division. Congrats to coaches Hytowitz, Hart, and Ruckman, whose teams will be at Section. Thank you to the refs, coaches, board members and parents who made this weekend possible.

The air quality index has dropped to 65 this morning and continues to decline. That is in moderate levels and is safe to play. The fields are now open and all practices may resume as usual. We will continue to monitor air quality and will send an email if the situation worsens.
