This story keeps being written as if he is some random bystander, rather than the CEO of an organisation whose purpose is to ensure Jews are terrified of being in Britain & engineed a stunt to that effect. Why has our media collectively lost its ability to research and balance?
@AJSchonfield Outrageous Amos!!!!! Nearly every conversation I have with Jewish people in the UK is whether they feel their children will still be living in the UK in the years to follow!
@AJSchonfield "Why has our media collectively lost its ability to research and balance?" Because much of our media, especially The Times and the Telegraph have long been corrupted by the Israel lobby. And many of the others are just too scared of upsetting Zionists. How disgraceful.
@AJSchonfield I think there is possibly a fear among non-Jewish journalists of pointing out exactly this. CAA has very effectively mobilised a certain brand of opinion and I’m not sure I entirely blame them for holding back.
@AJSchonfield It’s very possible he went there intentionally to cause a riot, but that doesn’t change the facts that the only reason he was stopped it’s not because anyone knew who he was but because he was visibly Jewish
@AJSchonfield And let's not forget this: theguardian.com/politics/2023/…
@AJSchonfield He is not the story; the fact that being 'visibly Jewish' was being seen as a public order issue in parallel with tolerance of overt bigotry and calls for violence by some on the marches is.
@AJSchonfield It lost it years ago. When it ran with the “Labour is full of antisemites” narrative. Verifiable statistics were available but our media chose to ignore them. The reality was totally different from the lurid headlines.
@AJSchonfield A black BLM activist goes to a White Supremacy march and the police ask him to leave. Is it the White Supremists” fault for being racist, or is it his own fault for being black?
@AJSchonfield Empowering antisemitism. Not a good look.
