The High-Level Committee on Demographic Changes, constituted by the Union Ministry of Home Affairs under the guise of national security, is a political move aimed at undermining the country's census process and creating communal polarization among the people. On June 13, a meeting chaired by the Union Home Minister reviewed the functioning of the committee. The terms of reference of this committee have effectively been shaped by the political narratives advanced by RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and others. This committee must be viewed as a continuation of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the proposed National Population Register (NPR) and National Register of Citizens (NRC). The Union Government, which deliberately delayed the official census that is constitutionally expected to be conducted at regular intervals, has now constituted this committee to further the Sangh Parivar’s politics of hatred. Rather than waiting for official census data, the government has chosen to focus on border districts and metropolitan cities through this special exercise. It is evident that the objective is to create fear and division among the people. During the intensive revision of electoral rolls, the Union Government and the Election Commission attempted to use the exercise as a means of citizenship verification as well. In a similar manner, a committee has now been appointed to study demographic changes based on religious affiliation in selected regions even before the census is conducted. This has caused serious concern among minority communities and other affected groups. Following the elections in West Bengal and Assam, conflicts in border regions have increasingly become a recurring phenomenon. Disregarding the principles of federalism and without any consultation with state governments, this committee is being imposed from above. Secular political parties must unite against the RSS agenda of spreading hatred and securing electoral gains. As part of the census process, the LDF government had earlier assured that the National Population Register would not be implemented in Kerala. Even as the US government has threatened to continue its attacks, the Indian government has failed to register a proper protest against the dastardly missile strike, and Modi has refused to comment on the matter. The BJP has no qualms about surrendering India's sovereignty and self-respect, and now it seems that neither does the Congress government in Telangana. We expect that the Congress High Command will take note of this outrageous move and intervene to make sure that it is withdrawn. Claims of carrying on the ideals of our anti-imperialist resistance movement must not be limited to words.

Mohan Bhagwat ji's response to Priyank Khadke ji's allegations is laughable. Bhagwat ji said that the RSS does not take money from the government, so it neither needs registration nor has to submit accounts. There are many trusts and societies in the country that do not take any funds from the government. Then why is registration mandatory for all of them? Why is FCRA required? Why is there a need for 12A and 80G under the Income Tax Act? In that case, there shouldn't even be a need to file income tax returns. Thousands of societies and trusts take funds from abroad. They have no direct dealings with the Government of India, yet why are they subjected to scrutiny? If there is even a shred of ethics in them, they should feel ashamed. The law has become like a discarded shoe for them. Who can do anything to them?

भारत में सैनिक स्कूलों का बड़ा हिस्सा सरकार ने RSS और अडानी को सौंप दिया है! कल मैं एक रिपोर्ट पढ़ रहा था, जिसे देखकर मैं हैरान रह गया। देश के सैनिक स्कूल, जहाँ से बड़ी संख्या में बच्चे पढ़कर भविष्य के सैनिक और अधिकारी बनते हैं, अब उन्हें RSS और अडानी जैसे समूहों द्वारा प्रशिक्षित और शिक्षित किया जाएगा! देश के 62 % स्कूलों का निजीकरण कर दिया गया है सरकार के द्वारा! RTI के अनुसार, सरकार ने 40 सैनिक स्कूलों का निजीकरण का डाटा दिया है। इनमें से 8 स्कूल RSS से जुड़े संगठनों द्वारा संचालित किए जा रहे हैं, 1 स्कूल अडानी ग्रुप के पास है, और 11 स्कूल बीजेपी नेताओं तथा उनके सहयोगी दलों से जुड़े लोगों द्वारा मैनेज किए जा रहे हैं। बाकी स्कूल भी इसी तरह बीजेपी से जुड़े व्यक्तियों या संस्थाओं द्वारा संचालित किए जा रहे हैं। सोचिए, देश के सैनिक स्कूलों में पढ़ने वाले बच्चों को अब RSS, अडानी और बीजेपी से जुड़े संस्थानों द्वारा शिक्षा दी जाएगी! क्या होगा देश के भविष्य का?
