Why not admit you have no idea what you're talking about? The Indiana Fever, Clark's team, had a salary cap of 1.4M for all their players combined (12 active + 2 dead cap). They aren't going to make a rookie their highest paid player because she has a rookie contract. So how much could they possibly pay her? Leagues can't pay money they don't have. Bird and Magic were on the higher end for rookies, but still made rookie level money when they came in (both way under 1M per year). But that league was already far more profitable than the WNBA. Clark will make plenty from sponsorships etc., but they can't pay her money they don't have. They need the extra sales/ratings first, then the cap can be increased. You can help increase it by watching games, buying merch, or buying tickets instead of making economically illiterate demands on X.

And just to be clear: Caitlin Clark will make about 0.12% of the WNBA's revenue per year. The first pick of the NBA draft will make around 0.1% of the NBA's revenue per year. It helps to know what you are talking about. x.com/rokhanna/statu…

@AGHamilton29 She should just "identify" as a man and go and try and get a spot on an NBA team...
@AGHamilton29 @Kurohig51653942 Jordan’s rookie deal was $6.3M over 7 years. So $455K a year. At the time Magic was the highest paid player at $2.5M a year. @RoKhanna
@AGHamilton29 I agree with all of this and will add that last season I watched a bit of WNBA for the first time and it was pretty good. I found it way better than men's or women's college basketball. Definitely recommend it for sports fans looking for something in the summer.
@AGHamilton29 You would think Mr Pro-Union would understand why the cap and rookie contracts exist.
@AGHamilton29 Why can't you admit that 75k is shockingly low and wtf how is that even the case?
@AGHamilton29 Exactly, the WNBA has a CBA and, just like the NBA and NFL, picks have salaries which have been negotiated in the CBA. Important to note Clark's NIL valuation is $3 million. She's likely to keep those endorsement deals so her salary will be a small part of her comp
