I’m 24 today. Never been more excited about the future or more grateful for the past&present A few things I’m thinking about for the next year 1/5
Our God is good beyond measure The grace, forgiveness, and blessings he has poured out on a man as sinful and undeserving as I is overwhelming. There have been many instances in my life where the probable outcome was death or destitution. This is all grace 2/5
You gotta love the taste of blood in your mouth, proverbially There will be atrocious disasters you encounter, especially if you’re taking risks Don’t be stoic, Marcus Aurelius was an opium addict. Feel and love the pain Perhaps God has placed you here for this 3/5
Skill issue. Didn’t close the deal? Didn’t make the hire? Didn’t hit the lift PR? Don’t have a billion dollars? Didn’t get the girl? Didn’t get the desired electoral result? Skill issue, that’s your fault, if you were more capable you’d have won. Become more skilled 4/5
Community The elites don’t want you to know this, but close knit communities are free. Spend more time with fewer people Have a gang of buddies talk to the waitstaff at your local diner, they’ll surprise sing you happy birthday with a candle in your breakfast ham 5/5
@ADoricko Great thread. One caveat from an older gal. Lack of skill isn’t always it. Sometimes the Lord keeps us from getting “it” to preserve for something better & humble us. Yet, do level up, never quit, & pray for discernment in every endeavor. HBD.
@ADoricko Hell yeah. Happy birthday, enjoy your protein
