As a Consultant I find it disgusting how General Practice is treated by the media. It has been an amazing part of the NHS since it’s inception, but the lack of understanding of what GPs actually do is appalling. Funding cuts are destroying GPs and the nation will sorely regret it

The tax payer has spent billions of pounds training us meanwhile practices are not receiving funding to employed salaried GPs. This at a time when patients have never found it harder to see a GP.
