Looks like the FDA may have finally resumed its email notifications about food-borne illness outbreaks. I just gone one and I hadn't received any since they announced the fed govt communication freeze. I subscribe to several diff FDA lists; I don't know if all are active again.

We also have greatly stepped up the amount we give to local charities. Instead of random donations, I've set up paypal autopays for the local charities that we support. I want to look out for my family & community first. It feels extremely important to do that right now.

My husband & I are trying hard to reduce our consumption this year. We've saved more money this month than we ever have in a month before. I'm done being a consumer in this economy. I don't want corporations thriving off of me or the govt taking credit for a high GDP bc of me.

Reactivity is an emotional response, not a behavior. You can't train it out of them. With mildly reactive dogs, exposure therapy works. For others, nothing does. You can spend thousands on the best trainers & you will still have a reactive dog. They want them to get put down or??

They're saying on the public health subreddit that all external communication from fed gov agencies has been paused indefinitely. That includes food borne outbreak notifications. Good luck to my fellow Americans in avoiding food poisoning for the foreseeable future. 👍
