To be fair, it's a compelling argument.
@1goodtern So glad hubby thinks wearing masks in public spaces, eating takeout, and watching movies at home while not getting sick is A-OK by him, and not such a huge sacrifice.
@1goodtern I mean one can get a new husband, right? 😅 /s
@1goodtern What was not said but thought was "and if he does die I will be unburdened,I don't want to look after him anymore". This is really what most thinking now about Long Covid sufferers. Its not yet polite to say it but its wrapped in "they were vulnerable or old".
@1goodtern If he dies, that's really only his problem, not mine. 🤷♀️ /s
@1goodtern “I *do* love you, honey, but you owe me this! I wore a baggy surgical mask over my chin at your LC clinic appointment so now you have to come with me to get wrecked on $2 mimosas in a poorly ventilated room full of contagious strangers. Compromise: that’s how marriage works!”
@1goodtern I mean... bottomless mimosa with the gals amirite!?
@1goodtern The US has only a small fraction of the healthcare that the UK has. Most of us are forced to go to work even if we are sick or risk getting laid off. Luckily I don't eat inside of restaurants when I'm sick and I don't remember the last time I have.
