Eth's recent scaling successes: - blobspace filling up exponentially - OP at 5 tps - base fees up 700x - eth missing 13% of slots - all L2s combined below 100 TPS (20x less than SOL) - 5 L2 outages in the past month Solana seems useful :)
@0xMert_ Reading this, you'd think it's existential. No doubt it's something to pay attention to but Ethereum and solid L2 keeps chugging along.
@0xMert_ Eth devs should just start building on Solana. There’s gotta be someone building EVM compatibility on SOL
@0xMert_ damn if I would have known you'd caption it I would have left it up I was trying to be merciful to the altL1s tbh
@0xMert_ Agree Solana is useful but we still need a cockroach layer in case shit hits the fan (which it will undoubtedly will one day) If a coordinated state level actor attack on blockchains bans public cloud servers then it would be hard to bootstrap the bare metal to decentralize.
@0xMert_ Quote tweets are too centralized. You can’t roll back screenshots
It's not where the hockey puck is now but where it's heading. ETH L2 blobspace will expand with demand. ETH L2 execution speed will increase with demand. ETH has 2392 active developers whereas SOL has only 436. BASE is now leading with more TVL, DAU, TPD, and will soon onboard 100M Coinbase users.
@0xMert_ solana still goes down regularly lol and that's L1, not L2s
Theres no denying Eths challenges, but its all part of the journey towards balance. Remember, quality often trumps quantity. Lets value sustainability over speed, depth over breadth. Patience and thoughtful growth pave the way for lasting success.
