Controversial businessman Rhys Williams was interviewed by The Platform journalist Sean Plunket and asked about who paid for the Inflection Point event in 2024.
Williams clearly outlines that New Zealand First paid and booked for the event. And a third-party promoter was involved, that being SB Group. In another interview, Williams denies any affiliation with New Zealand First members or contributors.
This raises serious questions about transparency between political parties and third-party promoter groups in Aotearoa New Zealand.

🚨 Rhys Williams last week revealed as the individual behind the @2ETEKA account that led the failed takedown attempt of Green MP Benjamin Doyle is as we now also know the one and the same person behind last year’s controversial Inflection Point conference which featured a who’s who of Aotearoa’s toxic GC movement & their useful idiots.
One week later with the story now consigned to wrapping fish & chips, many questions still remain as to basement dweller Williams background and who the individuals helping to drive his narrative are. This Quality editor @foundersam goes looking for answers below starting with revisiting the Inflection Point conference.
