We've added Agora's AUSD (@withAUSD) to the Mento reserve. This represents another dollar asset backing our FX infrastructure, and the new default USD collateral, with reserves now rebalancing across chains automatically. 🧵

AUSD is now a USD reserve asset in the @MentoLabs reserve, with programmatic rebalancing across chains. Fully reserved. Managed by VanEck and custodied at State Street.

🌐 UPDATE: AUSD is added as a reserve asset by @MentoLabs @withAUSD 's AUSD stablecoin is now officially available as a reserve asset on Mento. The platform for FX onchain using stablecoins is able to select AUSD to mint USD conversion and increase protocol liquidity. "Agora just got a lot more powerful because we have this close relationship with Mento." @werningfacundo, Head of LatAm at @withAUSD, explained why a dollar issuer wants its asset inside someone else's FX engine. "Mento does synthetic FX. They hold US dollar stablecoins, then they hedge out such that they can create synthetic non-USD stablecoins." "That's a way of getting non-USD FX up quicker than if you wait for full regulatory approval." @MentoLabs builds the local currencies on top of $AUSD's dollar layer. These two companies are on a path to non-dollar money that doesn't wait on a regulator.
