The majority of your time you should be focused on understanding the contrast (aka Gap) between where the prospect wants to be and where they are today. The more contrast, the more uncomfortable. And the more uncomfortable the more chance for a closed deal
The way you get the buyer to believe you can solve the problem is by showing them what the root cause of their problem is and how your solution will specifically solve for it.
All it takes is asking your prospect just 1-2 (stupid) questions where the answer can easily be found elsewhere to ruin your credibility and lower your status Most buyers have zero patience for that Ask only *essential* background questions where the information can’t be found from other sources
It’s not enough to show a buyer you can “solve their problem”.. you gotta be the type of rep that can show them the root causes of their (painful) problems and how your solution will fix the *root causes* which will eliminate the problems & impacts do this during the demo and you’re golden.
