In reality, the lady in the video is the Trade Commissioner of Sweden to India Ms. Sofia Högman. It is natural that a senior Swedish diplomat would say positive things about Modi’s visit. That’s just diplomacy. But ANI intentionally misrepresented a senior diplomat as an ordinary “Swedish citizen” to make it sound like Modi is so popular amongst common people in Sweden. For the last 12 years, THIS is how Modi has used propaganda for building a fake image of him being a “vishwaguru” & “most popular leader globally”. Beyond pathetic.

Kailash Mansarovar Yatra •The Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is organised by the Central government, which spends money on security and health facilities for the pilgrims.  •Several states — Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Gujarat, Karnataka, Madhya Pradesh, and Uttarakhand — additionally provide money to residents going on the Mansarovar Yatra to cover a part of the expenses, which can amount to about ₹1.5 lakh each.  3. Indian Railways Senior Citizen Concession •Indian Railways in 2025 continues to offer up to 50% concession on train tickets for senior citizens traveling to religious and cultural sites.  🗺️ State Government Schemes 4. Madhya Pradesh – Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana ⭐ (Pioneer scheme) •Launched in June 2012, this scheme provides one-time assistance to senior citizens (men 60+, women 58+) for free pilgrimage journeys to sites like Badrinath, Kedarnath, Jagannath Puri, and many others.  •The journey is conducted via special trains, AC buses, or planes, and the government also arranges breakfast, food, water, and free accommodation. Senior citizens don’t have to pay a single penny.  •The MP government allocated ₹50 crore budget for 2025–2026 for this scheme.  5. Delhi – Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana •Launched in January 2018, this scheme provides free pilgrimage trips to Delhi senior citizens aged 60+, with the government covering all travel, food, and stay expenses.  •Up to 77,000 senior citizens per year can benefit — 1,100 per assembly constituency — and one attendant can also accompany each traveller, with all expenses borne by the government.  •Sites covered include Vaishno Devi, Ajmer Sharif, Golden Temple, Jagannath Puri, Rameswaram, and others. 6. Maharashtra – Mukhyamantri Teerth Darshan Yojana •Free pilgrimage is available to all senior citizens of Maharashtra aged 60+, covering 139 religious sites across India.  •The maximum expense per person borne by the government is ₹30,000, including travel, food, and accommodation. Citizens above 75 years can bring one caretaker.  •Income limit: Family income below ₹2.5 lakh/year. 7. Rajasthan – Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana •This scheme provides free pilgrimage trips for senior citizens, covering the cost of travel (train or flight), accommodation, and food for visits to religious sites both within and outside the state.  8. Haryana – Mukhyamantri Tirth Darshan Yojana •Eligible seniors (60+) can enjoy subsidized travel costs with up to a 70% discount. Trips are designed to be safe, with government-approved travel agencies managing the tours.  9. Punjab – Mukhyamantri Tirth Yatra Yojana •Senior citizens get free transportation by train and AC buses, three-star hotel stays, medical support, and travel kits — all free of charge. The Punjab Cabinet approved ₹40 crore for this scheme.  10. Karnataka – Kashi Yatra Scheme •Karnataka offers a ₹5,000 subsidy to residents wanting to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple in Varanasi. Around 30,000 pilgrims are set to benefit, with a total budget of ₹7 crores.

The Haj Committee is demanding an additional ₹10,000 from Haj pilgrims as “differential airfare.” This is despite collecting ₹90,844 per pilgrim a couple of months ago departing from Mumbai Embarkation Point. This is almost DOUBLE the prevalent rates for individual travellers. Are pilgrims being punished for going through the Haj Committee? This is just exploitation and nothing else. Most pilgrims are not wealthy, they save money for years to be able to go to Haj. This is not a luxury for them. The circular must be withdrawn immediately, and the pilgrims must be refunded the money taken from them @kirenrijuju @RamMNK

Hindus have most number of subsidized or free trips to their Religious places. So many schemes in almost every state.

@asadowaisi Hindu, Jain, Parsi, Jews do not ask for special rates, discounts or rebates from govt when visiting holy place. What is special about Muslims that they want state to pay or ensure discounts? Unlike Muslim zakat Hindu have no funds. Why is this favouritism? Hindu never begged!
