Let's go through The Office of The Quorum of The Twelve Apostles "non-denial denial letter" one statement at a time, shall we? 1) "to express concern about Gordon Bowen's ALLEGED involvement in the Salt Lake Temple Celebration". Bowen's involvement isn't alleged. Brent Watts, CCO of Struck, one of many companies awarded contracts by the church related to the Open House, is on the record stating that Gordon Bowen is the one who brought him into the project, and was present at meetings related to the Open House. Watts' own employees go a step further: they say that Bowen has been present at RECENT meetings related to the Open House. When offered the opportunity to issue a denial, Watts refused comment. 2) "some online sources have made claims that are not accurate." This is true. There are also online sources that have made claims that ARE accurate. Like this outlet, for example... and Investigations in Ritual Abuse. 3) "Mr. Gordon Bowen is not, nor has he ever been, the creative director for the Salt Lake Temple Celebration." True... but he never claimed that. Gordon Bowen stated in his online and print bio that he was leading the creative team for the Salt Lake Temple Open House... which would include leading the creative directors. Men of Gordon Bowen's stature don't get job titles... they show up when they want to show up, guide strategy, and then go call male escorts to give them "massages". LDS, Inc. also knows they are dissembling here. It's shameful behavior, really. This letter is a master class in "lying for the Lord". Nothing more, nothing less. Keep writing letters. Ask the following: 1) If Gordon Bowen has never done any work related to the Salt Lake Temple Open House / Celebration, will the church publicly denounce Gordon Bowen's recorded statement that he is "pleased to be working on the Temple Open House..." and that "it's an honor to be a part of such a magnificent project"? 2) Was Gordon Bowen excommunicated from the church for, amongst other things, concerns regarding pedophilia? 3) What other projects for the church has Gordon Bowen been involved in, and was he paid for that work? Were children ever present at any meeting, function, or event where Bowen was involved? Were LDS prophets and apostles present at such meetings, and were they aware of Gordon Bowen's annotated membership record? These lying liars are going to wish they never started lying about Gordon Bowen 40 years ago. Every new lie just compounds the consequences. I admonish them to come clean, tell the truth about how they have tolerated this abuser in their midst, and begin the process of repentance as soon as humanly possible. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
