Our High Commissioner @JosephineGauld and team recently held productive meetings with the leadership of the Sierra Leone People’s Party and All People’s Congress to discuss the political landscape in #SierraLeone. We emphasised the need for inclusive dialogue and progress on the Tripartite Agreement as a means to resolve disagreements and strengthen democratic guarantees ahead of the 2026 Census and 2028 Elections. We will continue to support all efforts that contribute to stability and prosperity during this crucial period for Sierra Leone.

Great meeting today with the Minister of Transport and Aviation @FANDAYTURAY and the British High Commissioner and her team where they discussed @airsierraleone’s new London route, plans for a national railway and the country’s vessel registration system through @SLMARAD. The conversation highlighted the importance of stronger connectivity to boost trade, tourism and opportunities across the country.

We exchanged on the Ministry's programme to promote an effective, empowered and accountable public service, along with the UK's historic support for civil service capacity building. 🇬🇧 remains committed to partnering with government to deliver on the aspirations of all Sierra Leoneans.

On Tuesday, the 🇬🇧 High Commissioner @JosephineGauld held a productive meeting with the Minister of Employment, Labour and Social Security @SwarayRahman. We discussed the Ministry’s crucial work to dissuade irregular migration, promote regular pathways and collaborate with diaspora. We also touched on social protection, including UK contributions to Productive Social Safety Nets and Youth Employment.
