The first time a prospect logs into your site by themselves, without you there to guide them, it’s very possible they’ll forget where you clicked, get confused and frustrated, and eventually give up. In a January 23, 2025 edition of First Round Capital’s podcast “In Depth,” Clay co-founder Varun Anand unpacks his “reverse demo” technique, which he credits with super-charging the company’s early sales push. We break down @vxanand's demo method in our TWiST Substack. Link in comments.

Stan VanDerBeek: "I've been involved with a concept of making an entirely computer-made film by remote control, just dealing with phone calls and letters and programming cards, back and forth between a bunch of programmers at the University of Toronto and myself."

Your AI voice sounds human. So why can't it say your product's name? A great AI voice reads "Porsche Taycan" as TAY-can. Porsche says TIE-kahn. It guessed from the spelling, and nobody caught it, because nobody listens to line 1,200. Today we're launching Onepin: the production step after text-to-speech. It checks every line of voiceover before it ships using the voices you already work with. Onepin can: ➤ Check people's and product names against a 4-million-word pronunciation dictionary ➤ Spell out prices and dates before the voice speaks ➤ Score every line of audio for naturalness, clarity and word accuracy ➤ Fix the one wrong word in the same voice, without re-rendering the take Works with your voice subscription on @ElevenLabs, @OpenAI, @Google and 30+ more. No phonetic spellings to type. No re-rolls. No switching providers. Free to start, no credit card required. Hear the before and after in the thread ⬇️

UGC example for Skylight! I didn’t start this UGC ad by asking, “How do I show the product?” I started with: What problem is a parent actually feeling right now? For this back-to-school concept, the answer was mental load. So instead of a generic “Here’s the Skylight Calendar!” intro, I built the ad around a FaceTime conversation where a friend is frantically asking about school forms, soccer, swimming, etc. Every question naturally leads to the product: “It’s in my Skylight.” Then I show the kids checking their own chores, shifting the story from Mom remembers everything to the family shares the responsibility. That’s intentional UGC strategy: pain point, relatable scenario, product as the solution, proof, natural CTA. I’m not just creating content. I’m thinking about why someone would stop, relate, believe it, and ultimately buy. Let’s work together! 📧: [email protected] #ugc #ugccommunity #ugccreator #ugcexample
