I’m co-owner of @magnoliabakery. And I’m posting this from a flight home. Out comes banana pudding! We did a partnership with @united and this was the first time I tried it on board. So crazy good! Felt like a proud father when I asked a flight attendant what people think. “Obsessed with it!” Then another flight attendant came by to say how it is the best desert United has ever offered 🤗 Backstory: Magnolia is an iconic brand (fans of Sex and the City know this). Lines still snake around Bleecker Street in the Village to get cupcakes and banana pudding. But when we acquired it in 2020, in the middle of the pandemic, the brand didn’t have the resources to turn banana pudding into a product that could be shipped and sold beyond the stores. We took our time. Two years of development work so we wouldn’t compromise quality. I’ve seen so many great brands rush mediocre product thinking fans will be forgiving or somehow realize it just doesn’t taste that good. Road to ruin. Our meticulous effort paid off with great reviews. 🍌 Point is don’t do a land grab and rush product that isn’t ready. Very hard and costly to walk back as your same store velocities crash. We are shocked and saddened by the tragic accident at DCA tonight. Our thoughts are with those affected by this tragedy and ALPA’s accident investigation team is responding to assist the National Transportation Safety Board in their investigation.

Our pilot leadership and safety experts have been notified of the tragic incident near DCA this evening. Our thoughts remain with the victims and first responders. Our MEC will offer its full assistance.
