🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 THIS COUNTRY!!! 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 Am absolutly FUMING. Spent half the day trying to find a decent Irish bar in Islamabad to watch England v Mexico. You'd think there'd be one every few streets but no, had to settle for the Marriott bar in the end. To get into the football spirit I wore my full cosplay Crusader outfit complete with plastic sword, St George's cape and foam shield. Ten minutes later some ISI officers turned up. Apparently my outfit was "causing concern." Honestly, this woke nonsense has gone global. I politely explained that Pakistan is a Christian country, right? They all just looked at each other. One of them slowly asked, "Are you feeling alright?" Typical. Been handing out Reform UK leaflets all over Islamabad as well but hardly anybody seems interested in voting in the Manchester mayor election. Politics just isn't what it used to be. Word over here in the "Bad" is Nigel Farage is finished. I laughed and said, "Don't be daft. Nigel's BRITISH, not FINNISH." Nobody laughed. Then I explained all the accusations against him are obviously part of a massive woke Clinton conspiracy involving the BBC, Bill Gates, low-emission zones and oat milk. They wrote quite a lot down in little notebooks after that. At one point I climbed onto a camel outside the hotel and started belting out Hanky Panky by Madonna because music brings people together. The camel immediately sat down. I fell off. The locals applauded. Even the camel looked embarrassed for me. Schoolkids appeared from absolutely nowhere and chased me all the way back to the Marriott shouting something that sounded remarkably like "Sinbad the Gammon." It's outrageous. Bloody racists. I've no idea how that nickname has followed me across two continents. Back at the hotel reception the concierge asked if I'd enjoyed seeing the sights. I said, "No, but I've distributed another 143 Reform leaflets." He quietly asked if I'd considered taking a holiday instead. Tomorrow I'm giving Islamabad one last chance. If I still can't find a Greggs, a Wetherspoons or anyone who wants to discuss the Manchester mayoral election, I may have to admit defeat and come home. Mind you... I'm still convinced Aisha's phone battery has just gone flat.

You are spot on that they didn't crown him for his policy papers, Nazir, because those papers aren't actually his. Andy is a classic populist who excels at taking the hard work of others and wrapping it up in clever marketing. If you look closely at his speech from Monday and compare it to the government's Devolution White Paper from December 2024, it is a direct copy. True leadership requires telling the truth and matching words with evidence, so why is everyone ignoring this clear plagiarism? I was very angry this morning. I got tricked by Burnham's speech on Monday. Burnham did not invent the Devolution plan. He put his brand on it and took ownership of it with big words on Monday. A “No 10 North”. A rewired country. Power moved out of Whitehall. A new economic model built from the regions up. Hope Burnham is trying to own a reform programme that Starmer’s government had already put into motion. Starmer government promised devolution in Labour’s 2024 manifesto, published the English Devolution White Paper in December 2024, started creating new Strategic Authorities, begun redesigning funding settlements, and pushed the legal framework into law in April 2026. Burnham has adopted it, dramatised it, and made it the centre of his personal political offer. I am still angry.
