What a sad ending to prime farmland, animal habitat, and viewsheds at the base of the gorgeous Adirondack Mountains. The town of Kingsbury tried to do the right thing and fight this, too. But they were no match for the legal power and money behind the multinational corporate conglomerate of AES. When residents in Kingsbury, New York sounded the alarm and informed the town they had not been made aware of this incoming complex, the town listened to its residents and tried to do the right thing. Kingsbury's Code Enforcement Officer concluded there were material misrepresentations regarding neighborhood outreach and public awareness during the approval process. The town attempted to annul the prior approvals. This is common with all commercial solar salesmen. They lie to American landowners and tell them their "neighbor already said yes, so they should, too." In Kingsbury, it came out that the solar company had done just that, misleading landowners. Well AES didn't like that very much. AES responded by suing the Town of Kingsbury, the Planning Board, and the Code Enforcement Officer. Obviously, the multi-billion dollar renewable company won, and this is the view on Vaughn Road in Kingsbury, New York today. Who owns AES? A Google search will show you: "The buyers in this consortium include U.S.-based Global Infrastructure Partners (a subsidiary of BlackRock), Sweden's EQT, the California Public Employees' Retirement System (CalPERS), and the Qatar Investment Authority." That's who strong-armed, bullied, and legally flattened a small New York town to force a commercial solar complex into one of the prettiest regions of the state. This is foreign intervention in the form of swallowing our home rule whole.

The Office of Renewable Energy Siting (ORES) is having a meltdown right now over the protective order request that Meghan M Manion, the Montgomery County attorney, submitted as it relates to Cow Bell Solar in Florida, New York. The protective order request was granted by Chief James McClymonds. The law firm representing the solar developer, Young/Sommer, which has a near monopoly over most ORES solar projects, panicked and appealed that decision. Manion argued that Montgomery County should have the right to review documentation from the solar developer before they initiate the permitting process. McClymonds responded: "State agencies and municipalities seeking access to protected information under the Protective Order may request access directly from the Providing Party." Montgomery County requested the un-redacted documentation upon this ruling. ORES is now having a meltdown. Their latest response is attached below. ORES is somehow arguing that they "place immense emphasis on transparency" while also having a problem with a COUNTY wanting to see un-redacted documentation for an incoming solar complex. Redacting solar documentation and protecting multinational corporations and foreign companies is not transparency. ORES is worried this precedent will hold true for all other solar and wind permitting projects. If the counties and towns are allowed to see the true information behind each complex, ORES knows they will fight with everything they have to oppose these projects. The ORES process can ONLY exist behind redacted files, no voicemail/email, and bureaucrats whose names and information are kept hidden from the public. If the public can begin to access this information, their system falls apart. Keep watch on what happens inside the Cow Bell Solar (aptly name to mock us rural New Yorkers) docket.

Everybody that has a passport from a country within the European Union has the right to freely move around the countries we all love, Italy, Spain, France, Greece, etc. There’s no border control, you can even move to another country without much effort, and this has been beautiful. Until now. Recently Spain decided that they would give legal residence to 500.000 illegal migrants living in the country. Now these people are going to have the full rights of a European residence, including freedom of movement. Today we found out this number was a lie. There have already been 900.000 applications and it is expected to become 5 million within a few years. Thanks to Spain in the next years all the countries in the European union will have a mass migration that they never consented to. At this point, what does it even matter if Italy votes for patriotic government whose intent is to control their borders, when Spain will just send an infinite number of migrants to the continent? What is the end game for the European Union?

In 2021, Comptroller @TomDiNapoli committed $400 MILLION of New York pension money to ESG-focused renewable energy funds. Five years later, the reported results are approximately: - Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners IV: 1.26x invested capital - Excelsior Renewable Energy Fund I: 1.29x invested capital Had that same $400 million simply been invested in the S&P 500, it would be worth roughly $724 million today. Instead, New York retirees are hundreds of millions of dollars behind where they could have been. On Wall Street, if you underperform a basic index fund by that margin while locking investors into illiquid private funds for years, you’re not getting a bonus. You’re getting fired. And it gets worse. These aren’t liquid, publicly traded assets. The reported values are based largely on private-market estimates from fund managers, not continuous market pricing. Retirees can’t spend paper valuations. The real test comes when the assets are sold. Yet DiNapoli wants New Yorkers to celebrate returns that trail the market while taking more risk, providing less transparency, and tying up capital for years. This is what happens when politics starts driving investment decisions. DiNapoli has committed more than $40 BILLION of pension assets to climate and ESG-aligned strategies. Even a small performance gap on that scale can translate into billions of dollars in lost retirement gains for police officers, firefighters, and public employees. The pension fund exists for one reason: maximize risk-adjusted returns for retirees. Not to chase political trends. Not to satisfy activists. Not to make ideological statements. If a Wall Street portfolio manager produced these results, investors would demand new management. New York taxpayers and retirees should do the same.

Albany leaders REFUSE to uncover fraud, waste, and abuse because exposing it would threaten the federal gravy train. That incentive structure is backwards, and taxpayers are paying the price. It’s time to hold New York accountable.

New York didn’t stumble into an energy crisis. Albany built one. A decade ago, New York’s grid ran on a balanced mix of nuclear, natural gas, and renewables, and families paid about 18¢ per kWh for electricity. Then Albany shut down Indian Point in 2020 and 2021, eliminating 2,000 megawatts of clean, reliable, around-the-clock power. What happened next? Natural gas jumped from 36% to 47% of the grid. Renewables barely moved. Electricity prices climbed to nearly 30¢ per kWh, about 70% higher than the 2016 low and now among the highest in America. And the craziest part? New York sits on top of some of the most abundant, affordable natural gas in the country, yet politicians blocked the pipelines needed to bring it to consumers. The solution isn’t complicated: finish the pipelines, keep nuclear and build more of it, complete the Champlain Hudson transmission line, unlock the jobs and mineral rights of the Southern Tier, and eliminate the hidden fees driving up utility bills. Affordable, reliable power is a choice. As Comptroller, I’ll be the watchdog who holds Albany accountable for the cost of that choice.

On Friday, June 12th, 2026, I, in my capacity as the president of the American Land Rescue Fund with the Town of Glen, New York, filed a lawsuit against the Office of Renewable Energy Siting over the legality of the RAPID Act implementing regulations. This is now bigger than Fort Edward. I promise that we are doing everything we can to spare every single town in New York State that has, against its will, been sited as a location for a solar or wind complex. This lawsuit does just that. The petition argues violations of SAPA rulemaking requirements, SEQRA environmental review requirements, procedural due process in the adoption process, and the validity of 16 NYCRR Parts 1100, 1101, and 1102 as adopted regulations. This case is about transparency, public participation, environmental review, and the rule of law. Without our home rule and the ability to call out our state government for overriding environmental regulations, we have no rule of law in New York State. It's time to get our home rule back. This is a 75-page monster of a petition that our genius attorney put together. It's bold, aggressive, and exactly what's needed if we stand a chance at taking these authoritarian agencies on in court. There is much more to come. Linking to the petition below.

One of the great power imbalances between conservatives and Leftists is the fact that our religion is religion, while their religion masquerades as politics. As such, we are governed by SCOTUS-determined “separation of church and state” and the Leftists are not. Case in point: “Pride Month.” This is a month-long celebration of the Left’s religion, but because it is not treated as a religion, federal/state/local governments everywhere can indulge in it. However, if we were to try and have governments celebrating “Jesus Month,” the lawsuits would be so thick you couldn’t cut through them with a rainbow chainsaw. I’m not sure how to solve this.
