Disappointing window for me....going by the talent we have! We now have no choice than to win all ourg games in the final window and hope other results goes in our favor!
Interviewer : Having lived in Lagos and with your pedigree - Why are you not in the Tinubu camp Prof Osunbor : For you to be part of President Tinubu's team, you either have to have the EFCC on your neck or have been convicted of a crime. - This is shameful 🙈
Four months after the new tax policy went live: PAYE has changed (government collects more from higher income bands) Multiple taxes still exist (consumption tax is still a thing) VAT on food and essential items still exists. You can see why it is hard for people to trust these guys.
We also reviewed President Tinubu’s promises. Promises made during his campaign — Fuel, Electricity, Food, Jobs — and pulled the receipts to see if they matched. You should see for yourself.
This is the Tinubu they want you to support. Don't let them gaslight you into supporting a failure Tinubu is a failure
I don’t think people fully appreciate just how hopelessly arrogant and insensitive the APC has been. The Lagos State Government increased the cost of BRT fares by 15% in the middle of an energy crisis that was already squeezing household incomes from every direction. If a state like Lagos, with its enormous revenue base and with more resources available to it following the removal of the petrol subsidy, cannot absorb some cost of running public transportation, procure new buses, or at the very least cap fares on fewer than 500 buses, then what exactly is government for?
Nigerian nurse gives details about the doctors’ strike in Anambra State during Peter Obi’s tenure as governor and how the state didn't notice they were on strike because all the mission hospitals are well equipped and active. “Yes, doctors went on strike for 13 months under Peter Obi as governor. I was in school then as a student nurse, so I witnessed what happened. Back then, the Federal Government introduced a salary structure called CONMESS and CONHESS. The FG said state governments should implement it based on the resources available to them. In Anambra State, Mr Peter Obi said he would implement 60% of the agreement, but the state doctors rejected it and insisted on 100%.» At the time, he said the healthcare and education sectors were in shambles, so he focused on improving mission schools, medical facilities and dental services, while equipping them to standard. He also said there were no reports of mass casualties during the strike, meaning the absence of the doctors was not felt as much because mission hospitals had taken over healthcare services across the state.” — Nigerian nurse gives details about the doctors’ strike in Anambra State during Peter Obi’s tenure as governor 🎥: nurse_prudence_
Today is the court deadline for the @FBI to privately provide the court with sensitive documents related to the alleged #heroin trafficking activities of Nigerian President Bola Tinubu (@officialABAT). At the same time, we recently learned that, before the August recess, members of Congress were briefed on the growing drug trafficking problem in Nigeria under President Tinubu, raising serious concerns about Nigeria's emerging reputation among key members of Congress as a narco state. Those concerns are not developing in a vacuum. One congressional report dated July 2026 states that “Nigeria is a source, transit point, and market for illicit recreational drugs (e.g., cocaine, #heroin, and methamphetamine).” As we reported last month, Congressman @RepRonnyJackson also sounded the alarm, during a discussion with Dr. Von Batten about the heroin trafficking allegations involving President Tinubu, over Nigeria potentially becoming a hub for South American drug cartels. This brings us to an important question that we intend to raise during our meetings with members of Congress next week: Is #Nigeria slowly becoming a preferred destination for South American drug cartels because they are aware of President #Tinubu's alleged drug trafficking past, or is there something deeper or entirely different driving this development? We do not yet know the answer, but these are precisely the questions that the United States Government must ascertain as it examines both the allegations surrounding President #Tinubu and the broader drug trafficking situation in Nigeria. @realDonaldTrump @JDVance @SecRubio @SusieWiles47 @HouseForeignGOP @HouseForeign @SFRCdems @StateDept @AsstSecStateAF @SenateForeign @SenTedCruz @RepBrianMast @SusieWiles @RepGregSteube @RepJames @Jim_Jordan @RepRaskin @FBIDirectorKash @ChuckGrassley @SenatorDurbin @HouseJudiciary @JudiciaryGOP @FoxNews @washingtonpost @joerogan @joeroganhq @seanhannity @IngrahamAngle @chicagotribune @AGToddRokita @GovBraun @tmhuston @INHouseGOP @indgop @SOSDiegoMorales @indystar @JudgeJeanine @GOP @Republicans
Last Saturday, I joined the Naira Life Conference @zikokomoney by @Zikokomag for a fireside chat on a question we often overlook: What happens when active work life ends? We explored the importance of building financial security beyond a career, how to prepare for financial independence, create a future with purpose, and make the decisions today; that shape the life we want tomorrow. It was a meaningful conversation, made even more valuable by the questions, reflections, and perspectives shared during the Q&A session. I appreciated the opportunity to engage with attendees, share lessons from my own journey, and learn from their own experiences and aspirations. Thank you to @zikokomoney for creating a platform for conversations that encourage us all to think proactively about financial security, work, and the future we are building. FD Ó TI YÁ #OTiYA

When the June 12 crisis came I was one of the first to stand up even though I was a senior Executive in Industry. When 20yrs later someone of my own ethnic stock reminded me that of the 39 of us who signed a published document on June 12 only 3 were not Yoruba I was shocked. I had no recollection Of the number of people who signed the document and their ethnicity. I wondered why anybody would pay attention to such things and not to principles. But I have watched some of those who signed the document go neutral or join in the oppression. Still I do not waiver in prioritizing the dignity of the human person over the size of my bank account or being associated with power no matter what the agents of propane’s write. I am sure they will receive the reward of Goebbels. That reckless sense of priority is the current ruin of us. Nigeria has to build men and women who cannot be bought
Have just arrived the US. These days travel reminds me of who we used to be. When I first traveled to the UK in the early 70s.I did not have to have a visa from Lagos. Our Asian friends still enjoy that privilege. Some of my friends used to finish class on Friday fly overnight to London go shopping on Saturday, party all night, get on a flight on Sunday and be in class on Monday. Which undergrad would contemplate that today. The international community punishes people from countries that have not been well governed. Visa requirement is usually a first test. So when I hear the swag of those who talk about experience I want to remind them that their experience devalued Nigeria.
“If there is an Olympics of good character and good governance, do you think the Yoruba people will bring President Tinubu?” — Adewole Adebayo, SDP Presidential Candidate. My Thoughts: Kai! 😳 This one is deep — and dangerously uncomfortable. Because the question is not really about the Yoruba people. It is about what we choose to reward, defend and celebrate in our leaders. If there were indeed an Olympics of good character and good governance, what would Nigeria's scorecard look like? And more importantly, would we select our representatives based on their performance and character, or would ethnic loyalty automatically qualify them for the national team? There is absolutely nothing wrong with being proud of one's ethnic heritage. What becomes problematic is when ethnicity becomes a shield against accountability. A Yoruba man does not become a good president simply because he is Yoruba. An Igbo man does not become a good president because he is Igbo. A Hausa-Fulani man does not become a good president because he is Hausa-Fulani. Leadership is not an ethnic inheritance. It is a public trust. The real test is simple: Has the government improved the lives of Nigerians? Has it strengthened institutions? Has it reduced poverty and insecurity? Has it demonstrated prudence, transparency and accountability? Has it given Nigerians reasons to hope? These questions have no tribe. So, perhaps the most uncomfortable question is not whether the Yoruba would “bring” Tinubu to the Olympics. It is this: If the medals were awarded strictly on character, competence and governance outcomes — without ethnicity, religion, propaganda or political loyalty influencing the judges — who would Nigeria actually put on the podium? Kai! Adewole Adebayo has thrown one serious stone into the political hornet's nest. 😂 And judging from the noise already coming from the political stands, somebody must have been hit. My Nigeria must eventually get to the point where we stop asking, “Is he our man?” and start asking, “Is he a good man for Nigeria?” That is when nation-building truly begins.
Over 1 Trillion Naira budget allocation for INEC and over 200 Billion Naira of that money is meant for digital infrastructure, yet, INEC’s accreditation devices runs on an outdated Android 10 system Google abandoned years ago. Even their website runs on cheap security. Earlier today I read Martins Uwakwe's post and dug deeper, and what's going on is alarming. What started as one flagged link has turned into a documented mess. Martins, an AI governance researcher, found roughly 28 casino and gambling articles published directly on INEC's official website, inecnigeria. org, not adverts, not outbound links, actual pages hosted on INEC's own domain. Content ranged from "instant casino France" promotions to Czech-language gambling explainers, dressed up as normal blog articles. But there’s something bigger that should worry every Nigerian more than the casino spam itself: most of these pages were published under the WordPress author name "Ajuma Achor." That name traces back to someone who once worked at Interra Networks, the tech vendor that has handled contact-centre and web services for INEC. Her own LinkedIn suggests she left that company years ago. Which means one of two things is true: either an old, unmonitored publishing account has been sitting open and exploitable on INEC's website for who knows how long, or someone who still has access is actively using it, possibly for paid SEO placements. Both possibilities are frightening. A credential that can quietly publish dozens of gambling pages is a credential that could, in principle, publish a fake results announcement on election night. And it's not just the main site. voters.inecnigeria. org, a subdomain that should be strictly about voter information was also compromised, at one point serving Russian-language content before it too went down. It gets worse when you zoom out. This discovery came just weeks after INEC's own ICT director publicly confirmed that the Commission's core accreditation devices, the machines that verify voters at polling units are still running on Android 10, an operating system Google stopped actively supporting years ago. So we are not just talking about a hacked blog. We are talking about an election body whose public website has an open backdoor and whose accreditation hardware runs on outdated, harder-to-patch software, all inside the same window of time, 142 days before the 2027 general elections. Since this information has been trending since today, INEC is predictably trying to clean up. Which means, they don’t even have a team that monitors what’s going on there. The "clean-up" so far has been embarrassingly patchy. The original casino article link now returns an Error 404 but it's archived on the Wayback Machine, so the evidence isn't going anywhere. Instead of properly removing the compromised pages, several of them have simply been stripped down to blank "Uncategorised" headers. The infected pages are still live, just gutted, which tells you this is a rushed patch job, not a real security response. No public statement yet from INEC on how the breach happened, how long it's been going on, or whether anything beyond public web pages was touched. But beyond INEC. A July report on an Indonesian-linked gambling syndicate found similar casino content quietly planted across roughly 20 government websites in 16 African countries - Nigeria, Egypt, Kenya, Uganda, Ghana, South Africa and more. On Nigeria's Federal High Court website, researchers found an even sneakier version: the site looks completely normal to a regular visitor, but if you land on it from a gambling-related Google search, it serves you a casino page instead. And this isn't old news. I checked the Kogi State Internal Revenue Service website myself just now, and a casino article is still live on it as I write this post. Continue 👇🏾

We've been getting a lot of questions lately about how the Internet Archive digitizes books. The short answer: page by page, by hand. You may remember our viral 2021 video of Eliza Zhang scanning a book. That's still how we do it. Meet Eliza, and learn how we scan books:
This is not about Arewa's poor JAMB results. The number of registered candidates should worry us more. Kano (17.5 million) is about three times as populous as Benue (6 million). Yet, the number of candidates who sat for the 2026 JAMB in Benue (99k) far exceeds the number in Kano. If that doesn't scare you, look at Sokoto, Kebbi, and Zamfara, which had only 17.4k, 17.7k, and 15.6k candidates, respectively. Each of these states has a population roughly comparable to that of Benue. The total number of students who sat for the 2026 JAMB in all three states (SOKEZA) was just 51k, approximately half the number in Benue alone. In other words, for every one person in Sokoto, Kebbi, or Zamfara who sat for the 2026 JAMB, there were roughly six people in Benue who wrote the same exam. What is going on? Is this okay? Dr. Bashir Jelani

FAAN, respectfully, you created a problem that did not exist and then designed a system to solve what nobody knows. That is the real issue here. Uber, Bolt & Others already show me the driver, the car, plate number, price, route, location, rating and receipt. Fam the entire trip is digitally traceable and i’m happy. What additional ‘visibility’ are we looking for ? Your airport domiciled taxis are the only ones that are lacking behind with their laminated armed robber priced trips for Toyota big daddy. What are you doing about that ? Instead, you somehow found a way to insert itself into the part of the market that was already working. This habit has to stop. Every successful private sector innovation cannot become an invitation for government to create another platform, concession or collection point. Your job is to regulate the airport. FAAN does not need to become Uber’s Uber or Bolt’s Bolt.
