@UOrangemen No one ever got a scholarship because they were a good shell drill player.
@UOrangemen I know a lot of players from SD that were big time scorers in hs but now r not playing college ball; on a college roster but not getting playing minutes; scoring a lot less but getting playing time (learned to play D in college). 4 the first 2, kids never played defense in hs.
@UOrangemen Depends on the coach. @therealmicahjr has multiple schools recruiting him for different reasons. But, since he’s a smaller guard, being a 3-level scorer is a huge plus! He’s also like a coach on the court. But it’s just a challenge to put all that in a 1-min video; but I try :^)

@UOrangemen Funny I was talking to another coach about this yesterday, it’s obvious at this point and sad , like defense , making other player around you better, great passing , never see a player with those elite skills rank high or get offers base on these skills
@UOrangemen The media is to blame as well. Just post about points and that ruins team chemistry and starts jealousy within a team
@UOrangemen College coaches can see thru the points scored, signed one kid that was a legit big time scorer in HS but he also happened to be a dog on defense who got like 10 pts a game off steals. There are a lot of coaches who are same way, it never failed I would get calls/texts/emails
