ALERT: Mother turns her 16-year-old son in to police, and his grandmother hand-delivered him to jail after his involvement in a shooting during a 'teen takeover' in Clearwater, Florida. Noel Marsh III, 16, was suspected of shooting 7 bullets at a 17-year-old, hitting him 3 times, once in the leg, arm, and chest, during a 'teen takeover'. Polk County Sheriff Grady Judd said they were able to get in contact with Marsh’s mother, and she said, "he'll turn himself in as soon as I find him." About 30 minutes later, Marsh’s grandmother dropped him off at the police station, and authorities arrested Marsh. Clearwater Police Department's Deputy Chief Michael Walek says the victim stated the dispute between the teens stemmed from “social media and party-related rivalries.” The 17-year-old victim is in the hospital and expected to be ok. Police responded to a domestic disturbance call at an apartment complex. Jacob Blake Jr.'s girlfriend (Laquisha Booker) had called 911, reporting that Blake was there and wouldn't leave. Blake had an active felony warrant for sexual assault from an earlier incident (July 2020) involving a woman who had a restraining order against him. Three officers tried to arrest Blake. He resisted, physically struggled with them (including putting one in a headlock), and ignored commands. Officers tased him twice—it had no effect. Blake walked away around the driver's side of his girlfriend's rented SUV, which had three of his young children inside. Officers followed with guns drawn. As Blake opened the driver's door and leaned inside, Officer Rusten Sheskey grabbed his shirt from behind. Sheskey fired seven shots into Blake's back at close range. Blake collapsed. A knife was recovered from the driver's-side floorboard of the SUV. Blake later admitted in an interview that he had a pocket knife (it fell out during the initial struggle; he said he picked it up intending to put it in the car and did not point or swing it at anyone). Officers and witnesses reported he had it in hand and turned his body toward Sheskey right before the shots.
