He didn’t know how to plant a church. He just knew God was calling him to trust. God began stirring in T.J. McDaniel’s heart, and he sensed a clear calling to plant a church. He didn’t have formal training at the time. He didn’t know how it would all come together or even that there were networks like Send Network to help. 💡 But he knew this: if God was calling him, the only right response was obedience. 🙏 So, he prayed for vision. And God gave him one. ✳️ A community-impacting church. A church grounded in the Word—a place that would grow, stand firm on truth, and become a beacon of light in the community. ✳️ A place people wouldn’t avoid—but run to—for help. They started by engaging their city. A simple women’s clothing giveaway. People came. Needs were met. Momentum grew. Clothing became clothing, food, and hygiene ministries. Outreach events grew from a few hundred people... to 500... to 900... People arrive needing food, clothing, or school supplies. They leave having heard about Jesus. 📈 The church grew past 300 in weekly attendance. Children’s ministry exploded. What began with one act of obedience is now preparing to multiply! ✅ More than 150 baptisms in a year. ✅ Thousands served. ✅ Leaders being raised up. ✅ Another church plant on the horizon. This is a great reminder for us ⬇️ God often does extraordinary things through ordinary people who simply say yes.

A Tulsa pastor was recently approached by a leader in his church who wanted to plant a church just down the road. 💬 “Would it be okay if I took 100 people to help start the new church?” The pastor’s response surprised him ⬇️ 💬 “I’d rather you take 200. You’ll start strong, and we need the seating for new people here.” 💡That’s what kingdom-minded sending looks like. ✳️ SENDING is believing the gospel is bigger than our attendance charts, budgets, comfort, or ego. ✳️ Too often, churches see sending as losing. The New Testament sees sending as winning. ✳️ Healthy churches don’t just gather people—they send them.

In James 4, God gives 4 commands: submit, resist, draw near, and repent. The promise? "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." Healthy churches are led by people who cling to Christ. Read more from @noaholdham here: newchurches.com/article/plante…
