Israel Warns the Lebanese Civil Defense Against Going to Dahieh A source in the Lebanese Civil Defense told the Legal Agenda that last night (Thursday, October 3), the agency received an Israeli threat instructing it not to go to targeted areas, specifically Dahieh (the southern suburb of Beirut), which has suffered the fiercest strikes since Israel expanded its aggression against Lebanon on September 23. The source explained that the threat was made via a phone call from the Israeli enemy to one of the personnel while he was on his way to Dahieh. The call came via a phone operating on the Lebanese network and allocated to the Civil Defense and told the workers not to go to Dahieh until Friday morning. Since 7 October 2023, Israel’s aggression has martyred seven Civil Defense personnel, wounded 27 others, and severely damaged Civil Defense vehicles, rendering some of them inoperative. Under the laws of war, medical and relief crews enjoy special protection and may not be targeted.
