Great couple of days spent in Tallinn learning more about the volunteer Assistant Police and speaking with some of the wonderful ‘Abipolitseinik’ about their volunteering and their variety of policing roles. 10x comparatively the scale of the UK Special Constabulary, and growing!
A very interesting trip to Lithuania to learn more about the volunteer Police Supporters and Junior Police Supporters. Sad to leave beautiful (albeit very cold!) Vilnius.
Great day visiting the Hungarian Polgárőrség and learning more about how they operate. A really impressive volunteer policing model, situated outside of the police but with close partnering.
Really interesting discussion with female Polgárőrség about their experiences as auxiliary policing volunteers in Hungary - and how to attract more female volunteers in the future. A truly amazing, inspiring group of people, who volunteer and give so much!
