Compton scattering changed how we understand light. When a high energy photon collides with an electron, it transfers part of its energy and momentum, causing the photon to scatter with a longer wavelength. The wavelength shift depends on the scattering angle and is given by: Δλ = λf − λi = h/mec (1 − cosθ) This experiment provided direct evidence that light behaves as particles called photons, carrying both energy and momentum. A simple collision revealed one of the foundations of modern quantum physics.

The Casimir effect ✍️ It is a surprising quantum phenomenon. When two flat, uncharged metal plates are placed very close together in empty space, a perfect vacuum, they are pulled toward each other by a tiny force. Even though the plates carry no electric charge or any classical force, "empty" space isn’t really empty. It is filled with temporary ripples of energy called vacuum fluctuations, similar to fleeting virtual light waves of various sizes. Between the plates, only certain short waves can fit and bounce around, while longer waves are blocked. Outside the plates, every possible wave can exist freely. This creates a situation where the vacuum pressure is stronger outside than inside, gently pushing the plates together. This phenomenon provides clear evidence that the quantum vacuum produces real physical effects, and scientists have measured it in laboratories.

Случилось так, что актёры Александр Абдулов и Семён Фарада захотели, чтобы и у их героев, слуг графа Каллиостро — Жакоба и Маргадона, была своя песня. Написать её нужно было срочно, а поэта Юлия Кима (который писал песни к фильмам Марка Захарова) в это время в Москве не было. Захаров попросил композитора Геннадия Гладкова по-быстрому сочинить что-то в духе неаполитанского романса, тот пришёл в замешательство. Правда длилось оно всего несколько секунд: «Я помню — это был исторический миг. Гена был сначала в отчаянии, потом открыл крышку рояля и сразу запел и музыку, и слова» — рассказывал Марк Захаров «А мы в консерватории изучали итальянские термины, и я запомнил выражение „уно моменто“. Ну, и стал на эту тему сочинять музыку. Захаров покатывался от смеха» — говорил Геннадий Гладков. Абракадабра, сложенная из разных итальянских слов, так понравилась режиссёру, что он решил ничего не менять. Разве что знакомая студентка с факультета иняза помогла доработать отдельные строчки, чтобы они между собой рифмовались. В то время все официальные произведения искусства надо было «литовать» (т.е. получать разрешение) на худсовете. Когда создатели «Формулы любви» представили текст со строчками «марэ, бэлла донна э ун бэль канцонэ…», от них тут же потребовали перевод. Когда же поняли, что это просто набор слов, то определили композицию как «Народную неаполитанскую песню», а авторство записали так: «Слова Гладкова и народные». Народ Неаполя очень бы удивился. Ведь для них текст песни звучал бы так: Море, красивая женщина и прекрасная песня. Ты знаешь, что я люблю тебя, люблю всегда. Красивая женщина, море, верить, петь. Дай мне мгновение, что мне больше нравится. Одно. одно, одно мгновение Одно. одно, одно чувство Одна. одна, одна любезность Одно. одно, одно таинство. Впрочем, в фильме Жакоб объясняет Машеньке этот текст по-своему: «В этой песне поется о прекрасной итальянской девушке. Однажды её возлюбленный уплыл в море и не вернулся. Она долго плакала, потом сняла с себя все и вошла в бурное море. И сия пучина поглотила её в один момент. В общем, все умерли».
