This week in AI was basically a boardroom soap opera with rockets, wallets, robots and power bills. Elon Musk took SpaceX public, became a trillionaire, and somehow made “data centers in orbit” sound like a normal infrastructure plan. Sam Altman looked at ChatGPT and said: Nice app. Now let’s turn it into the operating system for work. Dario Amodei released Claude Fable 5, watched trust catch fire, then had to explain why invisible guardrails are maybe not the best way to build confidence. Jensen Huang did not need a headline. Everyone else’s headline still needed his chips. Tim Cook finally brought Siri AI back to the table, but Europe and China were apparently left standing outside like they forgot the invite. Satya Nadella stayed quiet, which in Microsoft language usually means: We already own the enterprise layer, please continue arguing. Sundar Pichai had Waymo buying Apple’s old car dream while Google’s “Don’t be evil” ghost came back as a resignation letter. Mark Zuckerberg stayed in the background, probably building another data center big enough to need its own weather system. And somewhere in Germany, NEURA Robotics reminded everyone that AI eventually needs a body, a factory floor and something more useful than another chatbot demo.
