I hope some will learn from this but I already know they won't. Every time Australia needs to have a serious discussion, we are sabotaged by media who want to sensationalise, distort and divide. There are very few reporters who can genuinely say they are better than this.
Media — ignores the crisis because a political attack gets more clicks. Gives us anti-Albo crap all week then, when unedited video emerges debunking their spin, tells you you're in the wrong for criticising their baseless attacks. It's just slimy and so demeaning to all involved.

Just popped in to see an elderly neighbour. She's on the phone to Centrelink, waiting for her call to be answered. She's been waiting for 1.5 hours. I'm wondering if there's a time of day that calls are answered quicker (eg 1st thing in the morning)?
It's beyond time that Christian Prayer rituals were removed from our Parliament. They have no place in a secular society the comprises people of many faiths and of no faith at all. Get rid of it @JacintaAllanMP and @JaclynSymes.

One of the best decisions I ever made as a demsoc on Twitter was to consciously follow principled conservatives, centrists, liberals & social democrats who argue their positions in good faith. It has made me a better thinker, better activist & better democratic citizen.
I don't pretend to have all the answers because I know for a fact I don't have most of them. But if there is something I do feel deep in my bones, it's that we're increasingly losing all ability to talk to each other in good faith about our disagreements, and we all lose down…
@cmclymer Outrage makes money. The entertainment industry has always known this. Now that politics is all about fundraising (Thanks, Newt), outrage is being used more as a money making device. Trump mastered it, but the Dems use it too. There’s a lot of money in division.
