Perhaps we shouldn’t have gotten the government involved in subsidizing education? Perhaps we shouldn’t have encouraged people to go into debt for worthless degrees? Perhaps we should have understood that inflating demand for education would not increase demand in the fields those graduates entered? We flooded the job market in many fields, giving employers a massive pool of applicants for a tiny number of jobs.
