English Breakfast, Earl Grey, loose leaf, ground coffee and one hell of a story behind how it all began. A little update on this week's mission 🇬🇧 Firstly, thank you to everyone who's been tagging and putting forward farms, farm shops and independent British producers. You've sent some genuinely great businesses my way, including plenty I probably wouldn't have discovered otherwise. I've also been doing my bit and have now emailed every business suggested, along with countless more across the country, inviting them to join FindABrit. I won't lie, individually contacting them was bloody tedious😂 And as a new website, I know convincing established businesses to take a chance on us isn't going to happen overnight. But if the end result is that some of them list and are seen by people who genuinely want to buy British and support our farmers and producers, then every bloody email is worth it 🇬🇧

It's a travesty, Elaine. The state of our high streets and their decline has upset me for years. The "businesses" that have set up shop and replaced what we had... well, I live for the day they shut up shop, never to blight our streets again. A dream of mine when starting this website was to hopefully sow a seed. To get people thinking about where they spend their money and choosing to support British businesses, particularly independents, whenever they can. If enough of us start doing that, perhaps one day we can breathe some life back into our high streets and see proper local businesses thriving again 🇬🇧

And unlike our government, I actually listen to people... sometimes. 😂 I'll be adding both Taxis & Private Hire and Security Services to the directory today.
