If the wealthy were taxed properly. And that money went into affordable housing + UBI instead of pipelines. Then there would be less people living in poverty. This would lessen the pressure on health care. And lifting people out of poverty is the RIGHT THING TO DO.

Cops + courts don’t keep us safe, ‘cultural change’ takes generations and doesn’t seem to be working. Give women money to leave and economic conditions to remain free. Affordable housing, UBI, free healthcare/education (especially for kids) all more important than new laws

If it feels too costly to have a kid, why have one? This shit isn't rocket science. We've become a highly unequal society where only those with sufficient income have a full range of choices. Universal basic income would make starting a family more of an option for more people.

Where's the money come from? I hear that reply to anything about universal basic income over and over again. Where's the money come from to pay for all the effects of poverty and chronic stress that exceed the net cost of UBI? Where's the money come from for the military?

The Denver Basic Income Project (DBIP) continues to elevate folks! I had the opportunity to talk to DBIP recipients, one who was unhoused for 10 year and now has an apartment, a job, and even makes time to volunteer. I am proud to support this life changing initiative.

My curse is the unending ill-informed Dunning-Kruger replies about how universal basic income will just cause inflation and negate its own value. This assumption is based on an ignorance of UBI's net cost vs gross cost, and also the learned helplessness of a hope-starved society.

The leap towards Universal Basic Income is not a jump into the unknown but a step into a world where mental health isn't a casualty of financial strain. Imagine societies where stress doesn't dictate our health. Let's make mental wellness accessible to all, not just the affluent.

UBI’s a more efficient & just way to enable & empower people - less stress/fear, make own & better choices. Less bureaucracy in the way. Something all of us can get behind IMHO.
