Why Blockchain? This is non-transparent derivatives market or in monetary terms, called Eurodollar markets. Here, the problem is collateral. If everybody runs to safety, the actual value of the collateral will be exposed sooner or later. This is what is happening right now.......

Small bank cash levels had a huge liquidity whipsaw in absolute terms. They didn't have this same issue in 2018/2019 during the prior quantitative tightening.

REGULATORS KNEW BANKS WERE INSOLVENT, BUT DIDN'T NOTIFY DEPOSITORS Why was this banking crisis such a surprise? Is it really your job to diligence your employer's bank's financials? Aren't you paying for regulators to do that? Unfortunately, the regulators were captured. As these posts from Sept 2022[1] and Nov 2022[2] show, regulators like FDIC and the Fed *knew* that SVB — and hundreds of other banks — had less assets than their liabilities. In other words, the banks didn't have your money. They intentionally used accounting tricks[3] to hide their insolvency. And the regulators let them hide[4] things in footnotes. What the regulators didn't do was notify you, the depositors, that all your money was gone. You paid for all the regulation, and got none of the consumer protection. THEY ARE TRYING TO BLOCK THE EXITS The US establishment just killed Signature and Silvergate because they banked crypto. Barney Frank noted that Signature wasn't even insolvent. They won't even let Signature acquirers keep the crypto business. Fortunately there are enough pro-crypto banks elsewhere in the world that the US establishment can no longer take down crypto on its own. But Americans might be penned in. Remember Red Wedding from Game of Thrones? First they close the doors, then get everyone inside. This is what all economically bankrupt regimes do. They build Berlin Walls that prevent freedom to exit. Unless you get out first.
