Robert Costello, supposedly appearing in Bragg’s grand jury today at Trump’s request, has preciously represented Rudy Giuliani and Steve Bannon as well as Trump. What Trump’s lawyers hope to gain from having Costello attack Michael Cohen’s credibility in that forum is a mystery.
@tribelaw Cohen has proven to be a liar publicly privately everywhere. Costello has the receipts.
@tribelaw It’s clearly a PR stunt orchestrated by Trump
@tribelaw Best typo of the day, Lol, he “preciously” represented them. ❤️ After all is said and done, he will probably be choosing a less warm and fuzzy adjective to apply to his “previous” representation of this trio.
@tribelaw An innocent man doesn’t fight criminal charges by slandering prosecutors and witnesses. He does it by telling the truth and producing evidence. Trump has no truth nor evidence, so he must do the former. It’s all he has.
@tribelaw I'm not sure that he can provide anything meaningful. It's more about the perception that he can. Smoke and mirrors, that's Trump's playbook.
@tribelaw Considering Cohen did time for the crime.
@tribelaw I understand that Costello never represented Cohen
@tribelaw It's reported Robert Costello called the NY DA to contradict what Michael Cohen told them about the "hush money". It's a mystery b/c Costello probably has no evidence to back up his testimony!
@tribelaw He was giving counsel to Cohen and dangling a pardon. I think GJ should disallow his side show testimony. Remember he had to withdraw from Bannon contempt case bc he became a material witness..these people are a joke
