BREAKING: the UK's CMA has provisionally concluded that Microsoft's Activision Blizzard deal “will not result in a substantial lessening of competition in console gaming services" because Microsoft is unlikely to withhold Call of Duty from PlayStation theverge.com/2023/3/24/2365…
the CMA still has concerns around the cloud gaming market, and the investigation remains on course for completion by the end of April
Sony is clearly going to have to sign a deal with Microsoft over Call of Duty now. My full analysis on what this means here: theverge.com/2023/3/24/2365…
@tomwarren @AkwesiQuan_ So when Microsoft buys this Can’t Sony fire back with buying rockstar or FROMSOFTWARE?
@tomwarren No contract for sony .. give them a 720p version of cod.
@tomwarren Can this thing just end already. Sony I love your first party games but this is CoD. Take some IP to compete and really invest in it. Not NFT stuff. Microsoft will give you a deal then probably make it exclusive in 10 plus years. It’s all business.
@tomwarren That's because @Xbox is a failing brand and hasn't come close to what playstation is doing. Xbox needs to find its own way, not copy what sony and Nintendo did. They did good with the 360 for sure, except from the 30 or % failure rate.
@tomwarren Now if COD isn't t on playstation that's Sony's fault
