@Culture_Crit Money. Most weren’t deemed to stick the money into cuz codes, unnecessary laws, restrictions etc. If there stands a “grandfather” code, usually the insurance companies would dangle a nice amount to the haves, and they would burn down and nobody cared after.

@Culture_Crit Breezewood PA is the opposite of efficiency. It’s the ultimate tourist trap. Pennsylvania holds you hostage to overpriced gas stations and fast food between I-70 and the Pennsylvania Turnpike. It’s dangerous too. Had many a near miss in that manufactured traffic jam.
