Ration's log page is live. Hard-boiled egg at breakfast. Spinach salad at lunch. Rotisserie chicken for dinner. 71g protein and counting. That number matters because when it hits the goal, Fueled kicks in — and ×1.2 XP carries over to BarBarian. Three apps, one loop.
@TTrimoreau The ones who can tell when the output is quietly wrong before it ships. That judgment isn't in the model. Everything else is just prompting.
@arvidkahl Six months building a three-app suite nights and weekends with agents. The engineering background stopped writing the code and started reviewing it. Same skill, different job — and the bad output is invisible if you can't tell the difference.
This is the part of solo dev no one talks about — you fix the same category of bug in 4 different places over 6 months and each time it feels brand new. Anyway. Templates are live. Go forge your suffering in advance.
Fixed it with a ref guard, same class of bug I killed in the realtime subscription a few weeks ago. I know the pattern now. I will absolutely forget the pattern again.
Shipped workout templates for BarBarian. The interesting part: loading a template into an active workout is a single LOAD_TEMPLATE reducer action. One atomic state update — screen never renders half-loaded. Also got bitten (again) by React Strict Mode double-mounting the fetch.

@supabase Supabase, obviously. Three apps, one project, shared auth, cross-app data flow between a workout tracker and a macro tracker. The fact that I could wire all of that together in 3 weeks as a solo dev is entirely because of how fast Supabase lets you move.

BarBarian dashboard shipped today. Animated XP bar. Streak counter. Weekly volume. Recent PRs. A Start Workout button that actually goes somewhere. Small thing. But three weeks ago none of this existed and now it does. Building in public. All of it.
The cross-app mechanic is the part I'm most proud of and also the part most likely to confuse people. You track your food in one app. It powers up your character in a different app. Shared Supabase backend. One source of truth. The apps actually talk to each other.
