Congress responded the only way they could: they sent their MLAs to a resort in Karnataka to stop any possibility of cross-voting. But on 9 June, during scrutiny, Congress candidate Meenakshi Natarajan’s nomination was rejected after BJP pointed out omissions in her affidavit regarding a civil case.
