Why is nobody in Carolina ever man enough to sit CMC down? When asked about getting Foreman (and Hubbard) more involved in the run game, this was Matt Rhuleās response:
@PanthersCulture Because yāall also want him to get the ball. If a player is hot with the ball why would you sit him. I understand the frustration but if they randomly shut him down and the offense started falling apart it would be the other way around.
@voncleveland3 @PanthersCulture So is he officially out of the game or are people just complaining because heās listed on the IR report again?
@pantherrob1 @voncleveland3 I hope he plays. But itās frustrating because he was in for meaningless runs late on Sunday and they know dude is fragile.
@PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 We shouldnāt be paying over $60 mil to a guy that we have to worry about being fragile.
@pantherrob1 @PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 Shouldnāt be paying a bum ass QB 18m to ride the bench either. But here we are.
@jhitworth @PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 At least you donāt have to argue snap count & usage for the bum making $18 mil.
@pantherrob1 @PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 People get paid with the assumption that theyāll stay healthy. Canāt blame them for paying a guy that was healthy at the time the justified money. If he had had an injury season prior, Iām sure he wouldnāt have been compensated. Samās had a bad CAREER and weāre paying him, lol.
@jhitworth @PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 The amount we paid Sam TB & Baker equals up to what we pay CMC. We didnāt even owe him the $ at the time. You could have looked at all of the highest paid RBās before him to know a 7 year deal was stupid. Todd Gurley, Devonta Freeman were prime examples.
@pantherrob1 @PanthersCulture @voncleveland3 Donāt really think Gurley is a good example. He had extensive injury history before his contract. CMC had never missed a game at any level until 2020. But š¤·š½āāļø just donāt get the CMC hate. Injuries happen, itās just part of the game.
