Hey, I wrote this - but don't read it today! We're on a #Law360Walkout 12/13 because of management's refusal to move or offer real counters on big bargaining sticking points like sick leave, parental leave & recognizing the Juneteenth federal holiday. Stand with the @law360union!

No one in Law360’s newsroom is getting rich. Most of us are just trying to pay our bills. The fact a co as large as LexisNexis can’t meet its staff even half way, all the while refusing raises/bonuses, makes me ashamed my work has contributed to its corporate profits for 8 years.
I’m joining ~300 colleagues at Law360 walking off the job today. We’ve been in contract negotiations for over a year, with no raises, no bonuses and no meaningful progress in negotiations. Law360 reporters are some of the best legal journos in the industry. We deserve better.

Court reporters like Matthew, my colleague @ByLauraannWood and me, and countless others posted all over the country are the reason @Law360 is such a destination for trial, hearing, and oral argument coverage. I hope today is a stark reminder of that for management ✊🏻

Like my awesome colleague @celestebott, I'm missing closing arguments today: a trial over allegations of falsified staffing records and patient needs at two PA nursing homes. Work like ours is important -- and it needs to be valued by management! #Law360Walkout

On a personal note, I'm missing closing arguments in a huge, important trial I've covered diligently for weeks. That kills me. But that's the point. There is no Law360 without the countless reporters throughout the country bringing the news from the courthouse to you.

We turned a tone-deaf management email about the company's 2024 holidays (sans Juneteenth) into a "WTF" thread and DJ Dreese took over while waiting (still waiting!) for management to respond. More than a hero - a union man!

We’re not just outside @LexisNexis HQ today! Many of our union members are remote workers who have joined the digital picket line to stand up to @Law360 management’s actions!
The @law360union paved the way for @latguild and many others organizing. Since Law360 unionized in August 2016, 10,021 workers have organized with @newsguild from 222 workplaces.

Today is shaping up to be another busy news day, but @Law360union is asking readers not to visit @Law360 today in support of our demand for a fair contract. Please don’t cross the digital picket line! Please support our fight! #Law360walkout2023
Want to show your solidarity with the union today? Don’t cross the click-it line! Don’t engage with Law360 today. You can also send a letter demanding @Law360’s management stop the delays &threats at the bargaining table and negotiate in good faith. actionnetwork.org/letters/tell-l…
I've mostly abandoned Twitter for bluer skies, but I am popping back in to boost this. @law360union has walked out today over management being crummy at the bargaining table for our new contract.
