@sam_gzstrength You're not truly deadlifting with straps because straps take the lift away from being a whole body challenge. For those of us improving grip strength in our old age, straps limit progress. Lifting shoes are different matter, just a way to improve angles but similar to work boot

@BullMoose4425 Had a bench day like that last week. 6 sets planned, just triples, but at bottom of rep one just let the bar sit on pins and crawled out. Took a rest day instead.
