4 tests per residential address. Shipping in late January. Better late than never. special.usps.com/testkits?fbcli… #COVID19

4 whole tests. I did order mine. But 4 tests? How exactly is that supposed to help? What about addresses with more than 4 people? I’m trying to be supportive of this, I generally am, but this still doesn’t sound like a serious plan to curtail the pandemic. But 🤷‍♀️.

@janettereinke @meganranney You’re right. I grew up in a family of 6. This feels like theater, not actual help.

@SarahJoyAdams @meganranney It is a start. It is something. I’m glad to hear they are at least doing something. I just wish there was a more coordinated effort, more leadership from the very top. Just more of everything. It is as if we are still in March 2020 with mitigation (plus vaccines).

@janettereinke Buy the rapid test from pharmacy and get reimbursed. That went into effect Saturday.

@janettereinke @meganranney We are a family of 7. We are going to just flip a coin to see who gets swabbed. 😉 The kids not being swabbed will be entertained by watching our single neighbor with her stash of tests that more than likely will expire at some point before being used.

@AmyDuvallski83 That is definitely an option. I will admit that my ADHD will get in the way of jumping through all of those hoops. Now if the ins co made reimbursement as easy as ordering those 4 tests were today, that would be awesome!

@unlvguy @meganranney Yeah that’s tough! I’m more than happy to share tests that I have with anybody nearby. I was able to buy some from ihealthlabs.com, so I have a stash. And I ordered my 4 today, so I have the ability to share if needed.

@janettereinke Just be grateful they're sending them period!!

@janettereinke @meganranney Especially compared to efforts by rest of world. Every pandemic measurement leaves the US embarrassed or worse.

@Jmaxson7 @meganranney Unfortunately, that does seem to be the case. But, maybe this is a good first step? One can only hope.
