Anytime I post an existential dilemma on here a line of men forms with their solutions. My dude, I’m not asking you to solve anything, I’m sharing my soul. Just listen and let’s be uncomfortable together.

As I became more and more successful I started to get deeply depressed. Because I realized that this thing I had spent so much time on and sacrificed so much for didn’t bring me any happiness. And with that I had to accept that nothing I achieved would ever make me happy.

@iamharaldur I believe a part of the depression comes from the lack of control over success Once you realize that success comes in a large part out of weird coincidences one might call luck, it's difficult + there is another thing...

@iamharaldur I think this scenario is more common than you'd think. I wonder if there's an official name for it?

@iamharaldur This where western thinking fails us!! Happiness shouldn’t be the end game or desired outcome. You do you actions(Karma) without any judgement or expectations and don’t expect anything in return. Do something because it is right or needed to be done! Please read “Bhagwat Gita”,…

@iamharaldur I dunno, my greatest achievements are on a swing set in front of me.

@iamharaldur Heavy is the crown. Find solace in knowing the flock you tend depends on your steadfastness. It’s lonely work but you’re not alone. Many are doing the same quietly every hour of everyday. The reward is the knowing. See ya on the other side. 👊🏻😎

@iamharaldur Happiness and joy are in the journey. The moment you arrive, it's over.

@iamharaldur Well, you apparently haven't found your meaning then. Keep looking. I'm 24. Widely successful and have found my meaning and happiness in life.

@iamharaldur For me having a bunch of kids has taken the focus off of self and placed it on the development of others. The plan is to get enough free time to become depressed, on a tropical beach, while sipping a MiaTia's with the wife.

@iamharaldur Climbing the mountain is optional. At the top of it, you will find a mirror staring back at you. If it helps, your work inspires others in ways you'll never know.
