.@AWeissmann_ posits (as pure speculation, which is all we can do now) that maybe they're looking to charge Weisselberg on insurance fraud. That wouldn't exactly be an "unrelated" case, as was reported, but that's a nuance that could be lost in the reporting. in any event,

if that's what's happening, it does suggest to me some last-minute jitters on Bragg's part. I don't think that would be about the possibility the GJ would not return an indictment but rather that the case as indicted wouldn't be strong enough. Very strange development.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ does he get off again…only Jack Smith can save the law.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ You are just speculating. Stop the hype.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ Seems like Bragg is looking for ways to screw this up. I have zero confidence in that guy.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ Maybe after grand jury testimony Michael Cohen should have stayed off tv. Worrisome Michael said some of what the Atty said was true. Did Braggs get all of those emails. Don’t trust Cohen he is trying to be accepted again. Worrisome case. Criminals against criminals.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ Bragg seems swayed by pressure. Looks like the publicity from Pomerantz’ book threw the grand jury into high gear, now the pressure from Republicans might be having opposite effect

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ I enjoy you guys but I'm gonna have to say "No dawg" to the whole Bragg thing now. I'm no longer interested. The threats to our democracy (1/6 case) & the threats to our national security (M-a-Lago docs) are MUCH MORE important. Is Bragg maybe enjoying playing Lucy w/ the 🏈??

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ It is good that an indictment has been postponed until the earliest next week. Tr*mp has his rally in Waco this weekend. It is better that he’s unable to declare that he was indicted in a witch hunt. Tr*mp must not be permitted to frame the narrative. It won’t be on his terms.

@harrylitman @AWeissmann_ You could just wait and see, you really don’t have to speculate, do you?
