Rolling out soon, Twitter will enable organizations to identify which other Twitter accounts are actually associated with them

@elonmusk Will any user be able to “be” / create an organization? Or will Twitter be the arbiter of what constitutes an organization?

@johnkrausphotos Ultimately, I think there is no choice but for Twitter to be the final arbiter, but I’m open to suggestions

@elonmusk What if I’m an employee and I change jobs? Do I have to notify twitter so they can update which organization I’m associated with on twitter? Or is this self serve where I can submit an update when jobs change?

@dennishegstad We will enable organizations to manage affiliations

@elonmusk How is this different from the old verification system? In order to get verified before, you had to prove that you were associated with your org by providing links and placing a request through twitter reps. And that did not guarantee verification — twitter had final say.

@elonmusk This all could have been avoided if the purchased subscription checks were … perhaps, a different color! And keep verification marks as actual verification marks. But then again, your subscription blue checks have zero value if they aren’t complete knockoffs of the legacy marks
