I am speaking of Mr. Fogel, a teacher from Oakmont. To my knowledge no one has thought him a spy.

@colin_dunlap People forget about Fogel. I remembered there being a third person (in addition to Griner and Whalen) but didn’t recall his name until I saw a tweet from @McFaul this morning. Let’s keep Fogel’s name on everyone’s minds.
@colin_dunlap Not a political post, I tend to like my sanity but I found this interesting and such an amazing statement with hopes they get the desired outcome soon.

@colin_dunlap No matter how “minimal” the amount of marijuana she had was, she broke a law! Yes, maybe a ridiculous one, but who are we to tell every other country what there laws should be! Was she held longer because of the current situation? Probably, but again leave the weed at home!
@colin_dunlap Reportedly, he had 14 grams & she had 0.7 grams. Just saying.
@colin_dunlap I actually agree with you. This is the 2nd Administration who has failed to publicly get him out. What I don’t understand is why the US had not officially short of a ban(which I don’t know how) intensely advise don’t go to Russia (visit , relocate, work ect) it’s mind numbing.
@colin_dunlap Do you have a single tweet mentioning him before today or just when Griner was released? Everything you need to know is in that answer.
@colin_dunlap Colin, for whatever reason, Marc Fogel has not been designated by the US Government as ""wrongfully or unlawfully detained"". This designation opens an entire portfolio of State Department and government resources. Why this hasn't happened is the real question to be asked.
@colin_dunlap You’re right - Mr. Fogle was detained for having a small amount of medical marijuana - for back pain if I remember right.
@colin_dunlap At the end of the day we just exchanged a basketball player for an arms dealer. How does that make sense in any world?
