Classic case of What is Tall Poppy Poppy Syndrome- when a person’s success causes them to be attacked, resented. Trying to devalue someone else’s achievement by suggesting that they did not deserve the attention. And it can discourage them from striving for future achievements.
It was awesome to watch woman’s college basketball grow this year. But It’s hard to root the WNBA when you see how many of the players and women around the game have NOT welcomed Caitlin Clark. Immediately jealous and get mad others haven’t received the attention she’s getting.

I listened. McGill says early in the segment you shouldn't overtrain. He's right, and good trainers know this too. No doubt there are bad trainers out there. My take (being open minded and generous); the nuance McGill is getting at is that overdoing it and doing it wrong…
